So glad I had put some air in before taking my daughter to school this morning.
Less than 100yrds from home, a car backed straight off driveway on my right, driver continued backwards into the junction opposite his house.
I had slowed owing to his appearance in the road, which was just as well, as he was followed off his drive by a mini cooper, reversed off and back towards me. I braked hard and blasted the airzound as she reversed towards me.
She stopped inches from my chain ring. Her husband in the first car did nothing but cringe, he didn't even sound his horn to warn her.
Her windows weren't clean or clear, and she initially tried to ignore me as I pulled alongside as she moved forward.
Eventually she wound window down and said ,"...Didn't see you". There was no apology until I pointed out at length the danger she had put us in, the poor condition of her vehicle and complete lack of observation.
I didn't raise my voice, and did not swear, but was shocked and angry... as I spoke to her, a little old lady , walking her two dogs , stopped on the pavement and screeched " you stupid bitch" apparently she had narrowly missed her last week.
I must admit to feeling very vulnerable for the first time on the trike, as mounting the kerb was not an option and would have put my daughters trailer in the firing line.
