PUMP - What to look for when buying

I'm looking to buy a new pump to keep at home.

The one I have has died.

So, any suggestions please?

The Topeak JoeBlow usually get recommended on the forum, I'm using an Ed Co Op one my self.

I've got a JoeBlow, it's great - and you can usually find one on special offer somewhere. Got mine from CRC and it was something like 25% off...

Blackburn, Topeak, Silca. All make a decent track pump. BUT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT IS A COMPRESSOR. Mwahahahah!

Yeah they cheap jobs are ok for inflating your girlfriend but they don't do spray painting, media blasting or air tools do they?

If you live near a petrol station, just use the air pump there for bicycles, air beds, beach balls etc.

If I could go back, and do it all over again, I'd buy a track pump with a lower centre of gravity, or one with a heavier base.
