no flats for me for months either and I thought it as I got on yesterday, lo and behold, one on the way home last night in the very cold in land o objects in the road, aka Wlathamstow

pisser to fix, me being a bit rusty and all, it was quite a big piece of glass right over the valve, it went down slow and I thought I'd pump up again and ride on as it was only a few miles from home, but everytime I started to get some pressure, it made a very audible hiss and I assumed it was the vavle, cue much disassembling of the head of the pump and some mild panic regarding getting home

eventually worked out what was happening, patched the tube in minutes but getting the bloody section of tube out opposite the vavle was horrendous, how I didn;t snap the vavle head off is beyond me

punctures aren't scary if you in any sort of practice, and a tube insures you against the times you really don't fancy it, both my tyres are kevlar, all a matter of going with what suits your style natch, I like to cane it
