I've just ordered a Chromebook though I'm not sure if I'll regret it, but I'm hopeful I won't. I like the idea of the device - most of what I do on computers (outside of work) is already online so I guess I'm in their target demographic.

I'm not usually an early adopter, but those things I have bought when the tech was new I mostly stand by. PVRs, WiFi, DVDs have all stood the relatively short test of time.

That Minidisc player on the other hand...

Minidisc player? Good point. I have one of those, a Sony. I recorded all my vinyl onto md's and now I find Sony has prevented md's being copied onto anything else. Thanks a bunch Sony.
