Quality cycle lane obstruction

Cycling up the A527 through this morning taking a nice detour to work I came across the attached pic at the end of the cycle lane here.

I think they wanted me to buy some meat!!!

The options were to enter the road half way round a roundabout or use the footpath. I chose the footpath though I'm glad there wasn't anybody around.

Email already gone into the company so we'll have to see if the move the sign.

That would be the easy option, but chances are they would think it just someon 'mucking' round & put it bcak in it's original place - At lesat contacting them lets them know they've cocked up, so if they really have no excuse to do it again

Moving it onto the pavement could cause pedestrians to move into the cycle path.

I might just move it into the middle of their driveway tomorow if it's still there.

We've a shop that puts signs on the main roadside. It's not in anyone's way but they have to lock it to a tree because it gets nicked otherwise.

Spa Cycles used to put a sign up (their road is a little hard to spot) but the council said NO!

The OP's sign also seems to be on one of those knobbly bits that inform blind or partially sighted people they can cross.
