Question about D-Locks

Hi,

I have 2 D-Locks - Onguard Bulldog Mini and Kyrptonite Evoloution 4 (big orange one).

When I close the d-lock and lock it - there is a rattle and even though it's locked you can pull/push it ever so slightly.

Is this what happens with all d-locks or am I not putting the d into the bar properly?

Mine's a Masterlock Street Fortum and it also rattles a bit when closed. I think it is quite normal. Some locks might be entirely rigid when closed, but I'm not sure.
