Quick question about a turbo!!

I just got myself a Turbo traniner for using during the dark nights and the horrible, cold wet weekends.

The turbo came supplied with a skewer which i have to use when using the turbo, so that is fine!! My question is, do I still use this skewer when I decide to go out on the bike or do I have to put my original one back on again?! Or does it really not matter which one I decide to use?!

It may depend on the particular turbo, but the original skewer on my Bianchi sits fine in the turbo...by the same token, i fitted the correct skewer to one of my previous bikes and left it on with no problems.

The Turbo skewer has rounded ends so that it fits snugly in the brackets. That's the only difference, so there's no need to put your original one back in when you go out.

You might also find the turbo skewer weighs several gramms more than your original one
