Have a cheap hybrid bike bought 26 x 1.75 spare inner tubes 1 from Tesco, 1 from Wilkinsons both under 2 quid.(great, sorted) However have since acquired a faster albeit older Cannondale tyre indicates 26 x 1.5 size which havent seen in either of those places. Question is would my 1.75 width inner tubes fit, failing that where is cheapest place to get 1.5m width spare just in case of puncture?

Cheers !

1.5" would be for 38mm tyres whilst the 1.75 are for 44mm.

Of course if using them for larger sizes normally just makes them thinner.
I'd imagine the 1.75 would be fine with 38mm too.

It'll be fine as inner tube sizing is not an exact science. Just be careful not to nip the slightly too large tube when fitting the tyre.
