I went out on my bike today for the first time after 3+1/2 weeks. I started off wobbly for about 2 miles, but gradually regained my stability. After 5 miles, I was riding as normal. Is it normal to get used to a bike this quickly? Or do other people take longer?

Not quite sure where you are coming from with this. Do you mean you ride a bike regularly and haven't been on it for three and half weeks? or you are not a regular cyclist and have had a three and half week lay off?

Got to say I would be climbing the walls with that kind of enforced lay off but would be back on without any problem whatsoever, never mind five miles! Like the previous respondent said: "It's like riding a bike".
