Is it possible to buy a quill stem to fit 31.8mm handlebars ?
I'm looking around but all I can find is 25.4mm or would I be better off getting an adaptor. I want to put compact handlebars on to an old Falcon bike to make it more comfy for me
On my run around I've done exactly that, I use a quill stem adapter from ebay and then a normal modern stem and handlebars. Careful though as there are quite a few quill stem adapters out there that are 1" rather than 1 1/8" for which you would need a shim for.
