White-faced capuchin monkeys rub themselves with insects.

More specifically, they rub their fur with giant African millipedes. Research states that they do this to repel other insects from going near them.
Kind of. They think that the millipedes excrete a sebum which smells like an attractive scent.

What it actually smells like is "Sex Panther".

Are you sure they’re giant African millipedes? The only time a South American capuchin would get near an African millepede is in a zoo, and it’s a pretty lax zoo that lets its invertebrate exhibits get used like that.
