So sad. Blake 7 along with The Tomorrow People was my childhood Sci Fi of choice. My Dad and i used to sit down together for each episode.

Another hero from my childhood gone:sad:. I loved Blakes 7 back in the day, remember being stunned by the ending of the final episode. Although the SFX were dirt cheap and Thomas himself once called it 'bargain basement Star trek', it was good fun. RIP Roj, free at last.

There are some shockers in the overall run, but I found it pretty enjoyable on rewatching it.

The box sets have some nice extra features on the sort of limitations that the production (mostly) overcame. There's also a podcast series "Shake and Blake" that's an episode by episode rewatch, and makes a nice accompaniment.

Blake's Seven is what I know Thomas best from, although I'm sure I've seen him in other things - RIP.

RIP Blake, I loved that show for all its cheesiness, I met him once as he was playing King Rat in pantomime in Newcastle and we went to a matinee as a school trip, he was a perfect gentleman with loads of mithery kids just after he'd finished performing.
