Great show in the day. I remember Wilfred Hyde White was in it also.

Just read that, once met his co star Erin Gray. Some people say the show cashed in on Star Wars. Ironically, Lucas based much of SW on Buck rogers & Flash Gordon, the old Buster Crabbe serials. I liked the first series, second went downhill a bit trying to be Battlestar Galactica/Star Trek.

It was out of the blue. Back in 1997 I went on a Start Trek theme cruise from LA to Mexico. The evening the ship departed, some of the guests were doing autographs at the pre-cruise dinner. She turned up & signed stuff, but wasn't a cruise guest. Never knew why she popped up, but nice to meet her briefly.

He has been rendered unconscious, and a strange gas preserves him in a suspended animation or coma state. He will awaken and emerge from the mine in 2429 AD, in the midst of another war.

I thought he got frozen in a shuttle mishap condemning him to a 500 year long orbit?. Unless they changed the Buster Crabbe version, been ages (1970's Saturday morning cinema club) since I saw it.

Like most TV sci-fi, they couldn't resist hiring some totty for the Dads. This approach often backfired, if the male cast had a tendency to get a little "Handsy":

Is it just my bad memory or am I thinking of a different programme?

Did that robot have a little face robot that used to hang round it's neck, and one of them talked in bleeps, they were a bit of a double act like C3PO and R2D2?
