By coincidence i was going to post similar,then i saw that you'd said it. I wonder if the three astronauts were chosen then they drew straws to see who was the 'unlucky one'. Or did applicants apply for the two positions of those who'd step foot on the moon and the position of the one who'd stay in the 'taxi' separately ?🤔

He rode a competition record 25 mile timetrial in 55":01' in 1962.
