I read that he had daughters called Mini and Mercedes: talk about commitment to your cause.
Think he may have missed a trick (or a letter) with his son, Max. Surely Austin was an open goal there.

Well said, we can leave that kind of thing to Miriam Margoyles. 😂

Yeah, she does have a bit of an unpleasant streak.

While I don't approve of Willson's fraudulent behaviour in his younger days, people do change and improve themselves, as he seems to have done.

He had become a part of the nations cultural landscape in recent decades, and his passing is sad. No real age either, poor bloke.

Everyone dies, do we all get an online obituary?

Go for it then, as they say!🧐 If you think folks deaths most of us know about are not worthy of reporting, unless we mention the other 500,000 that on average die each day around the world then I'm sure you'd be allowed on CC to start a thread about each and every one of them.🤔 😏

Im also pretty sure Clarkson wouldn't clock used cars before selling them.

Quentin was 86 really, but he’d clocked himself

Well, I am going to forgive Quentin Wilson his clocking. But what I will say is that of all the cars I have driven, which ain't many, my favourite was my mum's mini metro. I much preferred it to my Dad's Peugeot 205, his Saab and his Renault 19. In part, that was because I was always worried about wrapping my dad's cars around a lamp post.
