Hi

I am looking for a good race road bike and my budget is £1,500.

I am quite tall at 6'4, think I will need an XL.

My knowledge of bikes is limited. I currently have a Boardman Race, but it is a bit small but I like the feel of it.

I have a Specialized Allez which is a bit sedate, I guess it is more of a endurance road bike.

I prefer going out for a couple of hours and going as quick as I can.

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Have you done your own research and have a short list...
Guessing not so will start you off with this (I’m a SRAM fan), bonus of no horrid press fit bottom bracket like many carbon road bikes these days. Size guide indeed suggests XL for your height

but wait a week to see if PX have a Black Friday sale (they have in the past, these Covid times with very limited stocks may be rather different)

Where are you based and what bike shops do you have locally? Have you checked what they have?

Ok but be careful going for XL I am 6ft 3ins and 58cm/L is much better fit than XL. I had an Allez yonks ago and wouldn't say its endurance set up, bit racier for me.
My money would go on this, nice and light for the cash
