Anyone listen to Jeremy Vine show today. Talking about drivers using mobiles,and empowering cyclists to travel round with stickers to stick to windscreens of offending drivers. Apparently because we see more of whats going on compared to other roadusers. As they would be of the difficult to remove type this would name and shame them,........Mmm not sure could bring even more confrontation , could even make us public enemy No1. What do yer all think?

By agreeing to that you're only inviting agro. It's not like they could be charged without proof anyway as you could technically stick them anywhere you want. I think it's a tough nut to crack, but that ain't the answer.

She was part of the debate but it wasn t her idea.

Reckon it would make us public enemy number one. Sounds a bit like snitching to be honest. On the other hand a micro mini camera affixed to the helmet to instantly record any demeanour wouldn't go amiss.

I think this was thr crux of the debate,the police aren t enforcing the law, and it seemed they were inviting alternatives, apparently hand held mobile use in cars has gone up from 2.6% to 2.8% since the new penalties came in , in 2006 after initially going down.

The number will continue to increase as long as the Public know there is no risk of being spotted by officers in a patrol car.
