What's going on? No sun shine just rained constantly, puddles everywhere. I was blessed with a hassle free ride.

For some reason I enjoyed it. Rain dripping off my helmet. Lightly soaked. I was like a little kid trying to skid my bike.

Anyway I get to work soaked but with a smile on my face.

Anyone here feeling the same?

definitely have those love the rain days, it was a little spraylike this morning commuting through east london not offensive and a rather nice ride, hopefully be similar this evening, love riding on Fridays as you know it's the weekend when you step of the bike!

Anyhoo, rain does not equal fun.
Rain equals reduced visibility for cyclists and more worryingly, similar for the half wits in cars sharing the road with you and who don't know how to work the demisters in their vehicles.
Rain also equals slippery roads, especially on diesel spills. Rain equals wet and dirty riding kit which needs to be washed/dried. Rain equals accelerated wear of drive train components and brakes/rims. Rain equals physical discomfort. Rain equals not being able to bring the bike into the house when I get home (no shed or garage for us poor people).
Dry conditions erradicates all the above.

The nicest thing about the rain is that it always stops. Eventually.
