I'm not enjoying the look of the gale force wind/rain out of the window today, Wed........................ :bicycle:

Edit:
The gale force wind/rain was too much for my legs, I had to give up on the bike ride and go back home.

Again, the gale force wind/rain this week was too much for my old legs, so I had to give up and ride back home on two occasions:rain:.

I'm going off my enjoyment of the rain, you can have too much of something you like................... :rain:

Yeah, the gale force wind hitting you and pushing you out into the road can be a bit too much, even for us hardy Northerners.

Usually last about 30 minutes in those sort of conditions. After that, the illusion of being a Belgian hardman starts to wane

I don`t mind "proper" rain too much, but that crappy misty stuff that this country seems to specialize in is just miserable, I HATE IT!!

Not keen on setting off in it, doesn't stop me if I have too, neither does the wind or combination, at the moment though tend not to as I have other pressing matters and cycling is for transport at the moment,.
Not bothered about being wet, so long as I am warm and dry feet.

i have to admit i do like riding in the rain.
I cycled from Holt just near the welsh border back home. About 30 miles. About 4 miles in it started to rain and just wouldn't stop. So i decided to just cycle through it. It never stoped once even when i got home i was soaking wet. This was the first day i decided to go all in with the Lycra gear too. Was so happy i did and even soaking wet it was still easy and comfortable. Only problem i had was i nipples got a little too sore, maybe i should use some plasters next time???

Soft water areas are OK, but Hard Water rain gets through the slots in my helmet and stings a bit...

Thanks, that ACF50 aircraft industry anti-corrosion lube looks interesting........

Can this be used on the chain too?

Is there anything not to like?

Folks, rain is my best friend!

I don't understand the love of rain while riding???

Visibility is worse and drivers think cyclists in the rain are really fool hardy.

Having to clean the bike and get road dirt and oils off clothing.

Water up rear and in face without panniers.

If you wear glasses your visibility is reduced.

Some potholes and etc are in deep puddles.

Not to mention associated cold and wind.

This is not an all inclusive list.
