Got a damn good soaking this morning too. Just wore shorts and s/s jersey plus lightweight overshoes so those all came in the shower with me for a good scrub.

Easy to dry after wringing out the bulk of the water just lay the towel down after drying myself and lay clothes on it. Roll up tight and then wring the towel hard and then put in bag for twenty minutes. They come out pretty dry then and then hang up over my computer base units until go home time.

There was light rain this morning, but took it easy coming in with the waterproofs so didn't get wet.
It has been tipping it down all day. Looks like it has stopped for a while as the ground looks quite dry. Here's to hoping it's still like this at home time. I plan on cycling like crazy home as there is a programme I want to watch at 5pm. I usually tend to get in between 5 past and 10 past 5 so perhaps we have a PB in the making this evening!

Stuff 'em with newspaper, it is the one true path to dry shoes.

I think you are right - at least I'll know for future. For the time being, I am cheating and borrowing a car from work. Although I'm not fully cheating as I'm off running later on!

I have noticed that there is an alternative thread on rucksacks - anyone any tips to keep the contents dry - carrier bag inside?

It was pishing down this morning here. I took one look outside at 6:15, and went back to sleep thinking 'I'll take the car today'.

So, I'm not terribly commited in the face of bad weather...!

Am I a bit sad in the fact that I actually enjoy cycling and running in the rain to the point that I hope it is raining in the morning;) sorry!

What 20-30mins of hail in north london area tonight? Hail in London in August?!?

I was messing around with the bike under the porch and half my stuff got soaked with the splashback. Must have been 6-7mm wide some of the stones.

Anyhow, not minding it too much. It's pretty warm. Started all this bike lark post-easter so practice for the eventual winter. Makes the effort of putting on the mudguards worthwhile.
