I'm running a 2012 Raleigh Airlite 100 as a winter bike, which is the same except for Tiagra, and it's working well. The only real issue has been the saddle, which I changed on day 1.
Given the price I'd say go for it - you're getting the 300 upgrade at the same RRP as the 100.

@Portableaj I'm 5' 9" and have got a 51cm frame. It fits fine for that size.

The 51cm fits fine, although I've short-ish legs! The next one up is a 55cm which would be too big; I tried a 55cm earlier this year.

ok see the only problem is i can't try out the bike and i don't want to end up getting the wrong size so i might not get it
