Unfortunately, I think the location of that 'accessory' would transfer with the bike.

I've got something similar myself, and love it but it's had a life and a half in the 22 years it has been with me and I wouldn't be surprised if it crumbled beneath me tomorrow morning.

However, until it does so, I'm going to have to pass by opportunities like this or I'll have dozens of lovely rides waiting on the previous generation to expire.
