I'm not much of a Raleigh afficionado. I prefer the Dawes Kingpin when it comes to shopper bikes, not least because Dawes had the sense to build them with standard threads, which makes modding much easier. But this has been donated to Enviroability, and (as usual) it's not really worth rebuilding in financial terms but I can't quite bring myself to chuck it. I don't want it - I have three bike projects on the go already, two of which are shoppers - and I honestly don't think we have a market for it at the charity. So, does anyone want it? It needs a complete rebuild, but it's complete and comes with a rack bag that matches the paint. The hub is dated August 1973 and it seems a shame for it to have reached 53 years old only to be ignominiously scrapped. If anyone wants to put a tenner in the charity pot and collect it from Ross on Wye, that's ok with me.
