RALEIGH WINNER.....bits and bobs

I've had several Raleigh Winners over the years. It's a weakness on mat part! I used to always take them to a bike shop for repairs....but now I'm looking to do things myself (with YOU-TUBE!). Can anyone point me in the direction of what brake cables and gear cables I'd need? I don't want to order the wrong type! I have replaced the brakes with new ones but feel changing the cables would be a good idea also. Thanks for any advice!

There are 2 types of nipples on both brake and gear cables, barrel or pear shaped ends. also be aware that gear cables are thinner than brake cables. Outer cabling can be purchased in 'lengths' then cut to size but remember to order ferrules and anti-fray cable caps
