Something that really boils my piss is people who film or photograph EVERYTHING they see and do. It's the equivalent of facebooking or Twittering every mundane thing that happens on a bigger, more aggravating scale. There were people last night at Wimbledon filming the entire Murray semi-final from where they sat. Similarly, people doing the same at Glasto last week. There was an annoying scrote who tried that in front of us at our shrine once but we 'suggested' in no uncertain terms where he'd be better off putting his filming machine contraption thing. We saw Lee Scratch Perry earlier in the year mocking those who put a barrier (their camera/mobile phone/i-pad) between themselves and the experience of the great man on stage. It's as though people can only make sense of things they see on a screen. Just be aware, oh you filmers who believe they are chronicling their passage through life, that you twook like a lat (Sp).

^^^ Exactly what Paul said.

The number of gigs I go to and all you see is a sea of glowing phones being held up in front of you.

So all that recording stuff in my bedroom is not a good thing ?
That could explain why Mrs C gets a little ticked off at times.

A lot of bands and venues are now asking for people to put their phones away after the first track.

A friend of mine was at a gig and a rather annoying individual had his phone in the air blocking my friends view. My friend started shouting 'FLOWERPOT' at the top of his voice. I bet that sounded good on the recording.

Youngish chap on a plane next to me started to film the view out of the window as we pushed back from the stand and taxied to the runway. I was torn between seeing quite how long he intended to carry on for and not wishing to find out whether the request to turn everything off is made for good reason.

ha...yes...filming the crash you cause may be the ultimate idiot criminal

My friends took 2000 photographs on a 10 day holiday. It makes me wonder if they actually saw anything with their eyes, or just through the camera lens.

Then they put the entire film of the view of the flight out of the window on You Tube...

When in Edinburgh the amount of Asian tourists who where not even looking at what they where capturing was a bit of a shock, makes me wonder if a holiday is more of a status symbol than an enjoying time.

I have been watching 'Terror in the Skies', a documentary series about plane crashes and near-misses. It is amazing, for example, how many people sitting in a plane with all 4 engines having failed, react by whipping out their phones and documenting what they probably believe will be the long glide down to their deaths! (The plane had flown through a cloud of volcanic ash which choked the engines. Fortunately, the pilot was able to restart them before the plane ran out of sky!)

If you were going to film anything in such a situation, surely you would look into the camera and say goodbye to your family and friends?
