FFS gies peace.

The only bigger stories in Scottish fitba right now are Ryan Gauld knocking them in for Sporting Lisbon and Hearts running away with the Championship. Given that those two are positives, it's only right to balance the chat with the negativity swirling around Ibrox.

you seem to think that you talk for the majority of the people in Scotland,
I'm pretty sure he DOES.... by a huge majority.
At the risk of repeating myself, I am an ex Rangers supporter, but I regard the Rangers I supported as well and truly DEAD.
What exists now is a shambles, an embarrassment, and an insult to the name. Owned and run by scumbags who are in it solely to line their own pockets. As long as they have people like you to encourage them, they will get away with it.
I feel sorry for the majority of decent supporters from both clubs (and neutrals too) who are going to get caught in the crossfire of the up and coming Rangers v Celtic game. Scotland has been a better place in recent years and no-one but the extremists have missed this clash.
Take both these rancid clubs and put them in history, where they belong and where some supporters seem to want to stay.

If only more people supported their local club, but then there is not much glory supporting your local team

Maybe not, but the odd glory days are absolutely phenomenal and stick in the mind for ages. I can still replay Paul Wright's goal in the 97 Scottish Cup and remember the faces of the total strangers going mental around me. Can't remember anything else from when I was 11.

Domestic violence rates in Glasgow soared whenever the Old Firm used to play

This is true but to blame football is not really addressing the real reason which is alcohol abuse !

Former Scotland, Blackburn and Rangers defender Colin Hendry says "not in a million years" did he guess the Ibrox club could end up in such a poor state. (Daily Mail)

Colin Hendry is surprised by financial incompetence. Hilarious!

He would probably do a better job as our financial director than previous directors !
Just don't lend him any money !

I agree with most of that apart from the last bit , Killie is bad enough but Alloa ?:stop:

Breaking News - Rangers goalkeeper Steve Simonsen charged by SFA over alleged breach of betting rules.

It's only to be expected; if their board are corrupt, why should the players be any different?

The real reason is Misogyny, not alcohol abuse.

Yes but one brings out the other , the "RISE" in domestic violence around old firm games is caused by the consumption of alcohol.
I have not looked at the data but I would guess early kick offs on a Saturday would be the worst time to hold an old firm game as the drinking would start earlier and more drink will be consumed hence why the police don't like lunch time kick offs .

I've not read the whole thing, but the study was interesting, if pretty depressing.
