Help me out. And forgive me if I've misunderstood the shenanigans and the dramatis personae but how will King this time around help the Gers better than King last time around? Especially now Ashley owns everything bar Ibrox?

Last time he just lurked in the background and let the others ruin the club, this time he'll be at the helm of the ruination.

Presumably if King brings in money, he can repay Ashley's loans and therefore reduce influence.
As to whether it will be for the good, only time will tell...history suggests there will be more 'fun' to come.

I saw somewhere that they've taken up the option of Ashley's second £5m loan today.

Could it be (and I'm only surmising) that the only way meaningful revenues can be generated is if the bulk of the fans think "their" man is in charge. Ashley stands to make a lot more if Ibrox is full every other week than if it's sitting empty with the fan's boycott.

Oh you cynic! Are you suggesting that perhaps the Rangers fans are being hoodwinked again, and that tugbenson and the like have walked straight into the trap? Surely they wouldn't be that gullible after all the recent history at Ibrox?
No, I'm sure that all will be well and that this time next year they will be fielding a team of superstars in front of capacity crowds, and sitting 15 points clear at the top of the SPL .
