It beggars belief! This club should have re-invented itself (it's image), walked the 3 divsions as Champions and arrived back in the SPL with millions in the bank. What an incredible story, that shows no sign of ending, it's a surprise to me that there is not a new Rangers, another new one ^_^, fan led, putting pressure on these oafs.
Too many blinkered fans who "don't do walking away", as they loudly claim. That has allowed the club to be run by asset strippers and crooks since David Murray sold up.
If the fans had turned their backs when they realised they were having the pee severely ripped out of them, then the running of the club would have been forced to change.

I count myself as an ex supporter (not of the fanatical type) of Rangers. That was the REAL Rangers, which as far as I am concerned died about 4 years ago. I cannot bring myself to support any club financed by dirty money, which is what is happening now. I wish them all the worst and hope they cease to exist sooner rather than later.

Scotland has been a better place without the hatred and bigotry which goes on when the "occasion" of an old firm match arises, at least 3 times per season (usually more when cup ties are included). I hasten to add that Celtic supporters are equally to blame for the bigotry IME.. As us resident Scots will know, the main culprits will be dependent on what area you live in, e.g. Greenock = Celtic; Larkhall = Rangers.

Should have phrased it better really. Totally get why they've not accepted the offer, just the reasoning given (on the BBC site at least) is a total cheek, bordering on the insulting.

Very strange this guy is even interested and he pops up just in time to drive the share price up just before a share issue where Real Rangers men might be buying up all the shares .

Another share issue? What's that now 50? There must be more shares available in Rangers than any other company in the world!

I have lost count myself but from what I have read this will not be the last one ^_^

So if the Club and the Company are separate with the Club owning the heritage, the league membership and so on, why were Rangers thrown out of the SPL just for a change of ownership?

If the Club and the Company are separate, why are Rangers fans so keen to invest money in the company?

If they're separate, why would the club be punished for the actions of the company?

Which is to say, the idea that they're separate is bollocks. To say otherwise is to try and drive a horse and cart through the financial fair play regulations UEFA have introduced.

Lord Nimmo Smith said

“In common speech a Club is treated as a recognisable entity which is capable of being owned and operated, and which continues in existence despite its transfer to another owner and operator. In legal terms, it appears to us to be no different from any other undertaking which is capable of being carried on, bought and sold.”

“This is not to say that a Club has legal personality, separate from and additional to the legal personality of its owner and operator. We are satisfied that it does not, and Mr McKenzie did not seek to argue otherwise. So a Club cannot, lacking legal personality, enter into a contract by itself.”

I have already said to you before that the club and company are not separate in law , go back and read what I said weeks ago , going by your argument there has never been a Rangers football Club but only the Company so it cant be a new club because there was never an old club .

You would have to define what a Football club is which Lord Nimmo Smith did which I posted above.

Too many blinkered fans who "don't do walking away".

There were plenty of them walking away at Easter Road the other week

The loudest cheer was reserved for the pillock who left when it was 3-0 and turned to the Hibs fans and kissed his scarf as he buggered off. Loyalty knows no limits, eh?

And off we go again...Businessman Jim McColl has handed his 10,000 share stake to Rangers fan group Rangers First (actually they are second behind Hearts, but still...), according to the Daily Ranger

I just think the whole thing has become farcical BUT if the same thing was happening at my club Wolves the one thing I couldn't bring myself to do is boycott games.
By the way Rangers are my second team and yes I have been to see them on several occasions including a cup final and a Champions League game at Old Trafford.

Even if you knew it was the right thing to do and would wrestle control from the spivs destroying your club?

AFC Wimbledon and FC Manchester have shown the correct way to do things when you've been shafted by owners or have a grievance, not what Rangers have done...
