Surely you don't mean a "wretched hive of scum and villainy"?If Mos Eisley was a football forum, it would be RangersMedia.

Yet another asset stripping operation? There can't be many assets left by now.I just cannot understand what he wants it for
Ashley's latest 10 mill loan has now got him the training ground and even more commercial rights. He can already change Ibrox name to something like the sports direct mega arena any time he wants
He's got Rangers by the nuts now. No way can they pay it back, 3 mill of this new loan already has gone to pay back his previous loan!
Soon he will own the club. I just cannot understand what he wants it for.

Asda already have a site across the road, so it can't be that. Luxury flats with a big garden?
AIUI, he's loaned £5m now with a promise of £5m more as and when necessary at his discretion. This money is used to repay his previous £3.2m loan (plus interest presumably) and today Rangers Retail paid a £1.4m dividend to Sports Direct. So for £400k he's got Murray Park, 2 Directors and a further 26% of Rangers Retail (taking him to circa 75% of that arm) all secured on future shirt sponsorship. All this on only 8.9% of the shares. If anyone wanted him out, the price to do so just went through the roof. Also as the major creditor, he controls the terms of any future CVA.
However, there's also the view that with full control he'll be able to do what he did at Newcastle. Invest just enough to get Rangers into the top league but then just keep them ticking over in mid table whilst he creams off the merchandising for years to come. The only thing of commercial value at clubs like Rangers is the sponsorship and merchandising and he's got both.
Funny how it's only us trolls that realise all that.
Their share price has gone up 14% to 32p, which is highest in a year.
A month ago it was 18p.
