The packet stuff you add water to is better..in my opinion.

Dumplings are just flour, fat and water. Why would you buy a packet mix at all? You are just paying 10x as much for flour.

Personally, I think dumplings come from China, and are best shallow fried.

Good man!, my wife makes lovely stew and "proper" dumplings as well, can't beat it.

Sometimes throw some homemade Yorkshire puddings on the plate as well..
