Feet are a bit narrow so it will blow over easy..unless you screw it or peg it..
I've seen a lot worse mate...birds don't care as long as the grub is ok

Two feet supports are shorter so I could drill holes for two ground pegs.

I don't think I've had any visitors yet, it's too new.

In a ramekin?
Naturally, otherwise the juice would stain the wood.

That was what I thought when I saw it. It's a very nice job, but I don't think the Wirral is particularly well known for still, calm days

If it's on grass or whatever, I'd find some way of securing it to the ground. But well done, we should pop around for the house warming and a quick check on your fat balls

In truth, you've all been much kinder than I was expecting, I might show this thread to my family!

It is slightly wonky and some of the cuts are a bit off but that was, as I intimated, deliberate. I wanted to do some angled cuts, some lap joints and just generally bring my measuring and marking up to speed before I build my deck. The dimensions were in part fixed by the wood I had available, hence the feet being the width they are. I discovered my hand sawing is more accurate than the jigsaw, that if I'm careful I can use a chisel quite well, that I sometimes completely misread measurements and cut the wood too long or too short, that I don't always remember which side I marked and then wonder why it doesn't fit until I turn it around, that if I'm struggling with something, a cup of tea and a ponder works wonders and that pre-drilling wood stops it splitting when you use screws.

I could have built a much simpler table but the purpose was not just to build a table. I think I might make some more adjustments and then stain it.

Very nice, just to echo @meta lon though, a fully laden pigeon could have it over, I think the base needs to be a bit wider
There's two holes for ground anchors, I'm not relying on the feet width, plus, it's heavier than it looks.
