For a manly man in tweed who doesn't mind having to throw a bit of money at a convertible to keep it running it's got to be a TR6.

Better still, the TR5

How about this one? It's not a 'soft top' and is a bit more than I intended paying, but I do like that colour scheme! It's from the same dealers who were selling that Mini Roadster which has now been sold it seems. I briefly saw this Abarth in the video they sent me of the Mini Roadster, with it catching my eye. 🤔

Thats a grenade with the pin pulled at that mileage.

Trust me, in terms of grief and long term expense the MX5 is hesd and shoulders above this small-bore-high-output-turbo nonsense.

There's another Mini, this time a Cooper for sale, close to me Drago, but it won't let me send the link. Will it have the same type of engine as that Mini Roadster and no doubt the parts will be expensive with it being another BMW?🤔

2015 and they want £3,395 for it, saying it has 800 and odd quid added extras. It's done 119,500 miles, so maybe too high eh?🤔

If its a 1.6 itl'l be the Prince engine, unless its a really old R52 series. The later ones had the much tougher 1.5.

Parts are pricey if it needs a repair, but general maintenance and servicing shouldn't differ much from any other car.
