Looking at the MOT history I wouldn't give £100 for it, Have a look, the MOT's seem to follow a pattern Fail Pass, Fail Pass every year, it smacks of being misused & abused, with a list of advisories like War & Peace, most worrying is the regular mentions of subframe corrosion & brake pipe corrosion, but caked in grease! Caveat Emptor I say

Had our 99 plate for 19 years from new (1st gen), and it was still running about locally a couple of years ago - so 23 years old.

The trader said it will only have minor problems, but then he isn't going to say they are big ones, i know!😏 I'll have a look at the MOT history later. not that that will tell you about everything that needs doing to it, but if the history's bad that will tell you to stay well away!!

It isn't leaking through the roof. The roof is fine, it's coming through where the windscreen wipers are attached to the car.

It's coming through the scuttle below them because the drains are blocked. Google 'duckbills blocked' and it'll tell you how to sort them in a few minutes, and it can be done via the engine bay without any disassembly.

Yet the mechanic i use supposedly fixed the leak, but made it worse! Please tell me how to unblock the thing as my constantly wet carpet is pissing me off!!!🙄

I know it shows a Panda, but the 500 is exactly the same. Get your hands underneath and squeeze and massage to get the blockage cleared. If your hands are too big, get a kid and put them to work.
