I've been using mirrors on my bikes for over ten years and wouldn't ride without one. (As I only ride recumbents and need them but all seven of my DFs had at least one! Plus I use a glasses mirror. (Or helmet mirror on the very rare occasions when I wear one.)

This is a complete Douche de Merde! Also a solution looking for a problem that is solved by bolting a mirror to the bike.
