Reach or Drop Measurement on caliper brakes?

Can anyone tell me where the drop or reach is measured .I am guessing its center of the fixing bolt to center of the brake pads?

Thanks for that I was toying with the idea of replacing my front Canti on the tourer with a caliper as it screaches a lot, Cleaned the pads and set toe in (yet again) which has helped a bit so lost interest in the project for now. It has a 80mm drop which limits what you can fit on there and knowing my luck would still screach .
