Fortunately the weather held and I had a very enjoyable couple of hours.
It’s a new (secondhand) purchase and I’m a novice, is it possible to get them to fit all bikes.

Yep, you'll usually be able to get some to fit. If you don't have any lugs at all, there are always race blades.

There were plenty out early doors but by lunchtime they had thinned out and I had the A19 to myself virtually apart from a couple of speedy Scanias and Volvos !!!

Weather was pretty good here in the northwest - cool but not too cold, clear skies, very little wind. So I had a few hours out on my MTB this afternoon - and found a whole new track through woods I didn't know, and lots of new mud to play in.
