Rear bicycle light options

I'm setting up my winter bike which is a btwin540 mountain bike about 6/7 years old.

I've done some general upgrades but have an issue with mounting my rear light.

I want to add a mudguard, I have a seat bag and this leaves little room for a light where it can be seen.

I've had to remove an old light from the seat bag by cutting the little strap so now have no loop to mount a light.

Short of a new seat bag what are my options?

I've considered cutting small holes in the seat bag to mount the light. Putting them on the rear wheel bars ( not sure correct term) or mounting them on top of the mudguard somehow.

Anyone created anything that works well? Photos would be helpful if anyone had some

Thanks

What’s wrong with a light on the seat stays? The other other option is a mudguard light if your guards aren’t made of cheese.

I'd sew another loop onto the seat bag if possible where the old one was, but it really depends on how much seat post you have exposed and where the mudguards are mounted.

If you have a couple of photos @david k then we might be able to help better.

Mudguard mount is best. Strap or bolt a light directly to the back of the guard. It's perfectly placed.

Seatpost clamp. If there's a sliver of seatpost below your bag, a small rubber-strap light will fit.

Cut the bag. Feed a zip-tie through two small slits to create a new mount. It works but changes the bag permanently.

I already have this photo but will take a better one when I get chance.

Once I get my mudguard on it won't leave much space

I have two small strap lights already on but I'm worried they won't been seen easy when the mudguards on

I'm worried the view will be poor beneath a seat bag and above the mudguard
