Rear Skull pain - muscular

Does anyone have any suggestions or remedies for my ailment. I've noticed that whilst riding my road bike, I get pains in the back of my head, and these last for a few days. They are muscular aches, in the rear of my head, inline with my ears. Whilst on the bike, I am positioned so that I'm essentially looking upwards (if I were to stand) I also think that my eyes are looking upwards too. I believe that this may be a part of the cause. Is my bike not setup well for my size or my riding position may be causing it.

Any thoughts?

I used to get a pain in the neck on longer rides, i fitted a 1 cm shorter stem and it cured it .
