Receiving the same text over and over

I am away in Tanzania and I am getting some texts multiple times. One from a Finnish mobile and two from two different Dubai mobiles. They are legit texts but once would be enough!

I have rebooted the phone (aka turning it off and on again) but still they keep coming

Any ideas?

Thats a point - ouch!

I would hesitate a guess that it's network related rather than the phone - does anyone else with you have the same problem? Could you borrow a phone and put your sim in it and see if it stops? I agree though, get onto your provider.

It seems to have stopped. I have flown to Kenya today which solved it. I do work for a phone company and one of my techie colleagues confirmed it was caused by the n/w not receiving confirmation that I had received it.

I spoke too soon. Maybe I should try another country! I had some more again here just now (from a Dubai mobile sent from South Africa).....

Maybe I should come back and see some of this snow stuff?

I received the same greetings email 284 times over Christmas. I couldn't think of any other way of removing it from my BB than laboriously deleting every single one. Turns out a customer sent it to a supplier and copied loads of other people then it began bouncing back and forth between the two servers, copying everybody each time! Oops!
