Hi,
I have had my stinkpad t60 for a good few years and its served me well, and In fact is running win7, 3gb of ram and a 128mb ssd. The only problem is that's its a heavy old beast, so its getting passed on to my Mum for a live of silver* surfing.
So Im after a new lappy. Requirements are...
1-No reflective screens! Important to me, the thinkpad has a great IPS sceen)
2-No need for Huge storage - 128 gb ssd will do me (I know that will be more expensive that a 1tb mechanical)
3-Between 13 to 14 inch screen
4-Decent battery life - 4 hrs min
5-Decent build quality. Its going to be lugged about a lot so don't want it falling to bits.
6-I3 processor at least, i5 would be nice.
7-No fruit logo on the top.
So far I like the look of Samsung Series 9, but I haven't had to look at laptops for such a long time I don't really know who the players are.
Ideally looking to spend up to £800ish, maybe up to £1000 for something REALLY special and a bargain... Like a Lenovo X1 carbon.
