Before setting out on your ride, go to

    http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/uk_latest_weather.html

Not only can you enter your location and get local forecasts, you can also view the rainfall radar (right of screen - also as an animation over time) and see where the yukky weather really is, not where some t.v. forecaster says it is going to be!

  3. i just used that to check my weather. meant to be a bit cloudy tonight.

    it's actually raining!

    oh well... thanks anyway

Until they failed to update I used to find this is an essential guide.

I always consult before I go out on a new ride.

You wouldn't want to miss one, it could traumatise you for the rest of your life!

  9. methinks it's being economical with the truth though.
