I have started to service my bike myself.

My road bike is carbon, therefore I need a torque wrench.

Looked at Park tool tw5 but relatively expensive.

    What do you use?

  2. You don't 'need' one as such. It might be useful if you cannot yet judge yourself whether a bolt is sufficiently tight, but you don't need one just because you have a carbon bike..

If you must have something, just buy a Ritchey torque key, which I think is pre-set to 5nm anyway - that will sort your stem, bar and seatclamp bolts, which is pretty much the only things you would have needed a torque wrench for anyway...

  4. FWIW I use one of THESE

I don't have a carbon bike anymore but I have no mechanical sympathy so I find it very useful when I'm tinkering.

  5. If after quality then won't go wrong if Britool (my favourite) names on it. Doesn't have to be bike related so likes of Teng, Draper, Laser etc are all fine for occasional use. Helfrauds fine too if covers desired range.
