Recommend me some padded tights please

I'm looking to buy some comfortable padded long leg tights (not bib), but up to now have struggled with finding some that dont make my @rse hurt after an hour in the saddle

Started off last year with the Aldi ones,tried some Muddy Fox,then bought some Altura and currently have DHB Aeron Race shorts with leg warmers,which look great but my backside is still sore

Appreciate any pointers to a good pair

Question has to be... Is it the padded longs or the saddle/bike setup?
Are you OK with shorts and just have the issue with longs?

Bike is set up fine,had a professional bike fit last month

Up to now issues with both shorts and longs but ,the DHBs are by far the best up to now,just not quite there

Maybe I just have a bony backside

Try a different saddle, I know it took me a couple of years before I found a saddle I was comfy riding all day.

get yourself down to your local specialized concept store, they have an arseometer. Getting the correct saddle for your sit bones is important

I have ridden 50 miles today on gore tights. Short material rather than thermals. I have the sportive ladies but reckon there'll be men's ones. Try Evans or fleabay

The bigger question is how much money you want to spend.

I have a set of Northwave bib tights which are great but a very warm and heavy winter weight and only suitable for colder wetter days. The best ones I have had though have been the Assos tights/knickers/shorts. I can't tell you how many pairs I have been through (wearing them everyday on a 12month tour wears them out...) but the biggest issue is the cost (£££££x10). they are not cheap and but you get what you pay for and it is a 'please can everyone give me vouchers for christmas/birthday' savings. Worth it? yes but I have to say my hand was on my heart when I ordered my first pair. I kept repeating to myself, they can always be returned, they can always be returned... didn't need to. I can happily wear them all day everyday and have done.

I recently ordered the vaeon 3/4 bibs from wiggle. But got the eudura fs260 pros. Really good first time was sore though but after that not a ptoblen

I've just bought a pair of these DHB ones in the bib type and they're brilliant! The pad is ultra thick and they're very very comfy and warm. Highly recommended.

I wore some Campagnolo ones fron Prendas on a 100-miler last weekend and found them very comfortable. They were half price at £50.

Castelli bibs here, there great a bit nicer than the Endura's.

Used to ride many miles on a Rolls in jeans, fine.
Changed bike\saddles and decent padded shorts have become a must. They look better (in the mirror) too.
