Recommendations for Cycling Mitts

My Santini 365's have finally started to fall apart after 3 years of use - so I'm looking around at new mitts/fingerless gloves/whatever you want to call them. Have looked for reviews on gloves on the net but they seem to be in short supply (cue - an up and coming magazine article!! )

Towards the end of the Santinis life I'd started to notice aching between bridge of my thumb and forefinger and also on the base of my palm? Can anyone recommend gloves that work for them - especially if they've had similar problems and the gloves have reduced/removed that aching?

I know I'll probably end up with a list of gloves - but that in itself is a good place to start.

Thanks.

Should add their use - going to be doing 100+ mile rides in them - so need something with long term comfort.

I toured in the spech BG gel (for women). word of warning though. should the :sun: arrive you will get small square brown spots on the tops of your hands in a certain pattern. It looks very odd! Once they finally wore out, I missed them a lot. Have recently replaced them with exactly the same which was half price back in the autumn in the spech shop in chester...
I also have the spech bg deflect's as well which I toured in when it was colder but not enough to be wanting the endura gloves. still using the deflects.

Specialized bg gel are the most comfortable ive had - although they do seem to develop a hole in the stitching on the back of the thumb over time. However despite this i will be getting another pair when the current ones finally give up

I have some BG gel mitts and they are weird. Think they may have been the 2011 model but they have weird plasticky bobbles inside with are slippery when hands are sweaty...odd!

Evans have some half price Gore mitts for a tenner
