Recommendations for Spring / Summer Road Tyres?

I've recently learnt the value of very good tyres and felt the difference when I put on a pair of Continental 4000 S last year. I am about to invest in my first bit of carbon (seriously so too at over £2k) and would like something a smidgeon less grippy - any high quality tyre recommendations?

Are you sure you mean less grippy?

I like my tyres to have as much grip as possible.

Quicker? They are known for being good in the rain as much as anything.

Mich pro race 3s are good, and i'm also having much fun on Maxxis tyres at the mo.

I don't know what your budget is, but JE James have Schwalbe Ultremo R.1's in a range of colours at the moment for £23, very fast with plenty of grip.

not thought about budget - the GP4000S were £25 each. Had quick google for Mich Pro Race 3s only so far and they are well liked and available for £23 / £24.
