I have 2 great coffee stop favourites in Mumbles. Verdi's is great as in the cafe in Bracelet Bay. Verdi's toasted tea cakes are superb. The photo is Verdi's this morning. Great view once the rain stopped and the blue sky appeared.

Where do others enjoy a coffee and cake stop?

'That New Place' in South Molton, Devon. Great coffee & cake. It's been there 10 years, by the way.

It would be bloody handy to have a pin map of cycle friendly cafe stops with details across the UK.

Macclesfield Wheelers have one but clearly only covers the North West and mainly cheshire. I use it a lot. Great site.

Tullybannochar in Comrie,
Corrieiris in Stirling,
The Logan Lea in Forrestmill,
A couple in Dollar Main Street,
Cafe Luisa in Dunipace,
Anywhere in Auchterarder (great for cafes ),
Kind Kyttocks Kitchen in Falkland,
and many others are DCC haunts they stop at cafes every ride.
So PCC have only stopped in Stamford, they usually stop more often for gels/bars. I think I'd rather go to a cafe but maybe bike theft is more of a problem.

Norfolk - stops;

Castle Rising Tea Rooms - Good cakes too!
Sandringham Visitor Centre - Convenient and a popular cycling destination. (cappuccino's are tiny!)
Lucy's Tea Rooms - Burnham Market - good coffee, scones etc.
Hunstanton - Wells Deli - Good coffee and some yummy food too.
Castle Acre - Barnfields Cafe - more coffee and cake - popular with cyclists
Great Walsingham Barns - Good cakes - noteworthy pies and really good meals too.
Holt - The Owl Tea Rooms - cafe through the bakery - another good spot for a break (not open Sundays)

A good cycling route of 40 - 50 miles can take in 3 of the above. Poves is fueled by coffee and cake.

I regularly cycle to Dobbies garden centre in Carlisle for cake, they even let us take the bikes inside when somebody forgets their bike lock.
I also heartily recommend Fox's Cafe on Abbey street in the city centre - they also let me take the bike inside, especially if it's raining.
