Hi All,

My trainers are always getting soaked to or from work and even putting paper towels inside them during the day isn't drying them out. I've gone through 3 pairs already this year because they end up stinking.

How does averyone else cope? Are there some good waterproof shoes / boots. I don't like the idea of over-shoes - although, I've never tried them

Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

I just used standard pedals with toe straps, so don't need spd etc.

Yachting wellies are fine for cycling on standard pedals as they are more flexible around the ankle than your average gardening wellie, but you have to make sure there is a sufficient overlap between top of wellie and bottom of waterproof trouser leg.

The problem with waterproof shoes is a design fault - they have a big hole in them!

They will keep the surfaces dry and that is it, water will still trickle down your leg and into the shoes!

Not on a bent, if it gets into mine it is around the cleat, I will see if my new Time shoes are better in this respect, the BBB overshoes I wear have not failed me yet.
