I believe that you can get 256kbps or even more for R3 via Freeview, but I don't have a TV licence.

I don't see why one needs a TV licence if one doesn't ave a TV. The only prob with Freeview without a TV is knowing what station you are on. Having said that on our F/V box all the radio stations are 700s, R3 should be 703
