seeing as we have a champaign thread, it seems a poll of wine drinking habits is in order.

so who's red, and who's white?
  2. Just finished a bottle of Casa Ferreirinha 'Callabriga' 1999 Douro... present from work.
Absolutely top. From Portugal. No idea how much it costs to buy but it was a very satisfying taste. Try a bottle if you can - you red slurpers out there!
  3. Red. Usually the really robust ones. But I'm really more of a beer man.

One of the girls at work keeps a bottle of buckie on her desk as a bit of a talking point - she won it in a raffle. Her clients, mostly English, find it amusing and a good ice breaker. a I had a small measure recently. It was awful, you would really need to be desperate to drink it.

I only really like Spanish reds (I like the Torres one with the little plastic cow on it), so I guess that makes me more of a white type. Pink does seem to be very en vogue at the mo and there are some nice ones about.

Blanco and soda water. Much kinder on the liver. There's a name for it.

But the cheapest supermarket plonk here is crap. But in France......ooohlala!! It rediscovered my sex-life.

As well as slightly embarrassed, that was supposed to hint at a flushed face, due to consumption of aforesaid "Rosy" wine - rosy cheeks ?
Oh dear, I must try to more direct in my responses.
