As long as I breathe, I attack.
Are these for flat bar brake levers only ?
interested if they work with drop bars please.

You can get post mount to flat mount adapters. NB You need to check the disk rotor sizes before ordering those...!

I fitted Spyres to my CAADX. They work well once set up properly, which took me a few attempts to get right.

I have them on a road bike and they worked much better once i'd fitted a Spyre kit for the cables to go under the handlebar tape without restricting the cables too much.

flat mount ? in that case yes please .
Off to work in a minute so i will sort out payment later .

I think I have a flat mount pair that I bought in error - If you are interested I'll look them out? Sorry to hijack the thread BTW.

Got a link - google doesn't help me here - would be interested to know more (mine work well, but there's always room for improvement!)

@ Roubaix.

You are supposed to use a flexible length of (spiral wound) housing, which has a double ended ferrule on it, beneath the bar tape. You are then meant to use compression-less housing for the rest of the cable runs. Kind of defeats the point of compression-less housings, really IMO.

Jagwire "E-Z bend" housings are what you need. £5 plus postage, for a pair, on eBay.

I suppose you could just use standard brake housing linked to compression-less if you had the ferrules.

I think decent pads are probably the best way of improving Spyres. Shimano resin pads seem to be favourably reviewed.

Also. apologies for the hijack but keeping the post bumped is no bad thing, I suppose...

Thanks!

I've got compressionless throughout, and sintered pads, with very good performance. It's a tandem, and sintered are said to be essential for such heavy duty as resin can't cope with the temperatures.

Next major service, I'll try to remember this, might improve things further.

It's fine with me.

They Spyres were fine for me with resin pads.

Now if you could give my other items a nudge that would be perfect. 😀
